MTN blocked P9 Lite dual sim slot - no warning to customer

<p>I did an upgrade last year, and deicded to go with the P9 lite, as previously had a P8 which I was very happy with. One of the biggest pro's to me was the dual sim, which I made known to the sales person. After having the phone for a few months, I wanted to use my prepaid SIM for data, and inserted the second sim. Much to my dismay, it did not work!! I tried a number of SIM's, even went to the store to check if the SIM was active. I eventually went to a different branch of MTN, and they explained to me that it is blocked at factory. When I asked why did the sales person then not inform me, they obviously could not answer as I had not taking the contract through them. I as the customer have since tried various different routes to fix this, but no luck. I have had to go through channels to get my unblocking code and all sorts of things, but have not succeeded. To make matters worse, I'm still stuck with it for a little over a year! I always rave about MTN's service as opposed to other SP's, but this shady sales business has changed my mind...</p> <p> </p> <p>1. Why was I **** to about the 2nd slot, even after mentioning that it was my actual reason for liking the phone?</p> <p>2. How is MTN going to resolve this?</p>
