MTN Black Friday ****

I app**** for the Samsung Note 8 Black Friday deal on the 24th of November but when I went to the store (MTN President Center, Krugersdorp) I was told that the system was offline and my application would be processed later on so I left the documentation with them. I was also told that MTN would take care of porting my number from Vodacom. I was called the next day to sign a few forms and I did so on the day. I only received the phone on Wednesday the 29th of November and the salesperson told me that in order to get the Black Friday Deals, I need to download the Samsung Rewards app and complete the process on there. I completed the application on the same day and the message on screen said that someone would call me the next day. To date nobody has called me, when I called MTN I was told that the deal was only valid for the 24th and just a few days ago I found out that my Vodacom contract was not cancelled so the debit order remained in place and I will not be refunded by Vodacom. If the Black Friday deal was only valid for that day, why was I not informed and why should I be liable for a R400 debit order when I was told that everything would be taken care of by MTN????

Thank you for your post.

We sincere apologized for any inconvenience incurred.

Kindly be advised that it can be that Vodacom released the number late to MTN due to the 1 month subscription fee owing to Vodacom the debit was already requested from Vodacom side. You are welcome to contact our port department to assist you with the out come on this the contact number ***.

We have sent the complaint regarding the black Friday only valid for 1 day to the Regional Store managers to intervene here as per the system the contract was only activated on the 2017-11-29.
