MTN bills keep getting higher everymonth

Hello Peter<br> <br> I have owned an MTN Data card since September/October 2011 and the most I have paid for Data is around R600. My bill started escalating every month regardless of the fact that I have access to WIFI at work and hardly use Data during the day. My October 2014 bill was R809.14 and my January 2015 bill was R904.91 and I requested a detailed report from the billing department in January already but have received nothing so I let it go. But the invoice closed on the 20th of May takes the cake, R1700 for mobile data usage, I am sorry but this is extremely high for someone who does not use data form 9am to 5pm. I have been trying to get explanation on this 808 lines are not being answered, MTN shop in Sandton & Cresta could not help me.<br> <br> I had logged a call long before invoice closed cause I regularly check my spend, ref no:*** and still no feedback.<br> <br> I would like clarification please as my bill has been too high for 3 month & no one cares to explain what is happening.

Hello Zim****3,

Thank you for post.

Please accept our apologies for the break down in service in one of our touch points and for any inconvenience caused .

Kindly be advised that the data was used up by internet sessions. Please also note that besides internet browsing your handset can also generate charges via upgrading and automatic running of data applications. Always ensure that you avoid having multiple internet pages opened and that you close all the pages you are not using. If you are not using the internet function, you can disable the mobile data function to save your data bundles and airtime from being used up.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards,
Yahya
