MTN billing useless

Took a contract for 24 months, upgraded a tiny bit earlier, they are now telling me i took a longer contract, when they didnt even offer those terms at that stage, they want to bill me R8000 for the early upgrade, i have been to a store, spoken to numerous people at MTN, nothing helps, they keep trying to debit my account for R8000, they refuse to listen, or assist.
