MTN bad service: SONY Z3 screen cracked
On 8/3/15 I upgraded to a Sony Z3 at the MTN Pavilion.2 days later on 10/3/15 upon removing the back plastic I noticed that the handset cover had a crack.I took it in and was told that it was through physical damage and that I will be liable for a fee if I wish to send it for an assessment.
I did some research and to my surprise the internet was filled with reports of sudden broken screens for the Sony Z3.There are numerous forums with reports as well as a video by BBC Watchdogs TV show in an interview with Sony regarding the issues with the screens. Now surely based on the fact that I had the handset for only two days it is likely to be a manufacturing fault and of course out of box failure.I go back to the store on 13/3.It was taken in for an assessment. I was told that if it was a fault on the device they would assist me in getting a new device.
7/4/15 I got a call from a consultant from the assessment centre. She asked me to call on 10/4 for a COL number when i called on 17/4 i was told there is no COL number because she misunderstood an email.I have waited long enough & well beyond the turnaround time and would like to cancel my contract.the store asked me to call 808 to cancel
