MTN Bad service/ assistance.

Yesterday 15/11/2023 I called MTN reporting that my mother's cellphone number has been hacked, I was advised by a lady that a sim swap was done around +1pm. Cool I asked that the number be blocked because the person downloaded whatsapp and is asking for money from people. Lady asked for 10digit numbers at the back of the sim, I continued to advise that the sim card is very old might be as old as me and it's starting to turn white. I was then put through the ***** department that requested an affidavit and ID copy, mind you this was around 9pm when I made this call. Today my mother (pensioner BTW) went to a police station, got an affidavit and went to an MTN store in Mthatha. They were also no help and did not even ask for the affidavit, they gave her another sim and said she must load 100 airtime!!! The person using my mothers cellphone number meanwhile is still using her whatsapp and her number asking people for R1000 -R2000 from my mothers friends and family.

It's so frustrating for an old person to go through this and not be assisted now she is owing people money that she does not even have.
