MTN BAD SERVICE
My son bought himself a Blackberry 9720 on 24/10/14. In July the phone wouldn't charge. We took it in to the Clearwater branch. After 2 weeks they said that they couldn't repair the phone so they told me we were getting a NEW phone. Then on 23/10/15 the phone wouldn't charge again. We were away for the week-end so on Monday I went back into Clearwater MTN. The woman working there was painting her nails. She told me that the phone we had received wasn't NEW it was refurbished. They had **** to us. She said we must bring in the phone with the battery and charger and she would sent it off for repairs. 2 weeks passed - nothing. Yesterday, more than 3 weeks later, I called the branch. The guy tells me that there was a note on the system saying that the quote to repair was R5,000-00 and since the quote has now expired I must pay in R330-00 to get the broken phone back. I called MTN queries and S to a Supervisor. she checked on the system she said that the warranty had expired on 12/09/15 (we bought the phone on the 24/10/14) and the cell number she rattled off was not ours. They won't replace the dud phone they gave us which broke within 3 months, and refuse to waive the R330.
