MTN back pedals on black Friday deals
<p>MTN black Friday deals were extended to Cyber Monday. </p> <p>I was abroad at the time and MTN had to speak to me to add the deal to my contract. My contracts with them have by the way ran for 19 years and were maintained in pristine shape. </p> <p> </p> <p>So they finally call me just before I board and assure me that it's all good. The deal was done and I would get my sim soon as they cleared the back log.</p> <p> </p> <p>Seeimg as they simply added this to an existing really well maintained contract the call was just a formality. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have voice recordings of this call. </p> <p> </p> <p>Today I got an SMS at 2am saying we didn't meet their criteria and the application was refused </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>All I can think of is that they didn't understand what the deal was going to cost them and are trying to back out. </p> <p> </p> <p>Shame on you. MTN. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>How many others have had this experience.? </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

I just got an sms from MTN saying my sim was approved. Looks like I am sorted.
I will celebtrate and update this listing when I actually have the activatd sim in my hand.

Well I did get my sim.
And contrary to what they said it didn't roam in USA at all. Even after I loaded money into it.
And there is no sign of the 50 gigs and 10,000 min. Not even prorata

The new sim arrived, And it doesn't have the Deal loaded.
After literally 100s of hours of being on hold we are being told different things by different people at MTN. Clearly nobody knows whats going on.

Yesterday I got an sms saying the bonus data was loaded.
Its not the 50Gig I was expecting, but I assume this a pro-rata thing.
So I am a happy chappy.
