I have taken out a data contract in July this year. The Promotion offered 40GB for R199 (20GB day and 20GB night)
From day 1 I have had issues with it. 1. The network speed was too slow. I had to contact several call center agents and had to log a complaint on hello peter before it eventually got sorted out a week later.
2. The promotion advertised 40 GB data but I was only receiving 30GB (20 day and 10 night). Again I call the call center, got no help, so I email instead. They feed back regurgitated information to me saying that 30 GB is all my contract allows for, but not addressing my issue that I did not get the data I signed up for. I reply to the email, no response to date.
3. Now once again another issue. The contract is for R199 pm and I'm being billed R533.22. Yet again I email MTN. No surprise, I'm fed regurgitated nonsense that my contract is R533. I reply to the email, no response. So does this mean the contract I signed means nothing ???????????
The customer service at MTN is appalling. It appears that there are auto response machines programmed to dish out information but not able to handle a query. THERE IS NO USE HAVING A SERVICE DESK IF THEY CANNOT ADDRESS QUERIES!
Perhaps its time to lodge with the consumer and goods services ombudsman. Im tired of dealing with MTN customer service.
