MTN are *******! Stay away!

MTN are *******!

I normally don't go on social rants, but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

I was contacted by MONDO for a MTN data plan. It sounded like it would work for me, so I agreed on the plan. Next moment a large amount of money (much more than I agreed upon) was taken from my bank account. I asked to stop the contract. I was told that an investigation would be conducted to see if I was misinformed. The investigation was successful; I had never agreed upon the amount that was taken from me. They said they would cancel the contract and return the money.

Next thing, another large amount is taken. I had to try and cancel the contract again. I was told that all the money would be returned.

THREE MONTHS LATER and I STILL DONT HAVE MY MONEY BACK!

The money was paid by MONDO into my MTN account (that was closed, I don't have any access to that money without an MTN subscription). I requested that the money be returned to my bank account where it is of some use to me.

I have been very patient, but enough is enough!

On numerous requests to get the money back into my bank account, I was asked to provide bank statement proof that the money was taken from my account. I think this is ridiculous because MTN already has evidence that those amounts were taken. But I comp**** and sent proof of the deducted amounts... AND STILL NOTHING!

After all this, numerous calls and visits to my nearest MTN shop, and after THREE MONTHS, they have apparently closed my service request WITHOUT PAYING THE MONEY THEY STOLE.

And now I'm struggling to get through to their customer service. This whole experience has been terrible.

THE BOTTOM LINE, MONEY WAS TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT THAT I NEVER AGREED TO! THREE MONTHS LATER THEY HAVE STILL NOT RETURNED THIS MONEY. THE MONEY IS THERE, BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY REFUSE TO PAY IT BACK INTO MY BANK ACCOUNT! THIS IS *******, AND IF NOT RESOLVED ASAP I WILL HAVE TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION.
