MTN ARE PATHETIC

DO NOT BUY A FROM MTN
(this is not a pro Samsung Campaign)

Last Sunday just after 1pm, I went into MTN to upgrade my contract to an iPhone6s as my contract had reached its end.

On upgrading to the new iPhone, I was told that if I return the phone within 7 days, I would receive a brand new phone over the counter, and if I return the phone within the first 6 months they would send it in and I would receive a brand new phone with in the next day or so - if I return the phone after 6 months, they would only repair it.

After having the phone for 5 days, the volume key on the side of the phone was faulty. My phone would be set to silent no matter which way I set the key and the phone would vibrate without touching it.

I took it into MTN today - Sunday, at 10:30am only to be told that in their eyes, today is the 8th day, not the 7th day.
(Because MTN lives in a magical world with out 24 hours in a day) and that they will not replace my phone but instead they would send it in for repairs, repairs that could take up to 3 weeks. B

However, in "comfort" we were told that there are no approved software spare iPhone parts in South Africa and so if it's a software glitch, the phone would probably be replaced anyway. - wow how comforting! Idiots...

So, after having my phone for a magical MTN 8 days - even though I only bought it on Sunday 1pm on the 29th May (Day 1; Monday 1pm. Day 2; Tuesday 1pm etc) I now won't have a phone for 3 weeks and when I do get it after 3 weeks, it will be a once faulty phone with repairs done to it.

iPhone and MTN disgust me. The minute they out the phone in your hand, it's automatically a day old - I'm basically buying a day old phone.

Just know that if anything happens to your iPhone within 6 days - it will be repaired with either unapproved parts and you'll be phonesless for weeks

-------------------------------------------------

Today on the 7th of June 2016, my mother drove down to the MTN repair store in River Horse Valley herself, after the store manager at MTN Gateway, GAIL, suggested she does, only to find that the staff of the store were all sitting outsit as the lady who is meant to open the store at 9am, SHANEEZ, had not bothered to pitch to open the store.

I then phoned the MTN store Gateway 9 times on the number provided by google *** in hopes of reaching GAIL, no one answered.

Eventually at 9.45am, the repair centre openned with no admin staff and there fore the inability to do any paper work on my phone to start with the repairs.

They also told my mother they would NOT be open tomorrow Wednesday 08th June 2016.

Summary:

MTN would NOT give me a new phone on the Sunday following my previous Sunday purchase because they deemed it as the 8th day and phones are only viable for a replacement up to the 7th day.

The repair centre where I have to take my phone for a REPAIR on the 8th day is CLOSED.

GAIL has nothing to say because "This is not my fault." - Even if this is not her fault, it is not MY fault that MTN sold me faulty phone and now can not repair my phone.

For every day I do not have a phone, I lose business because I am a slaes rep and I need my phone to quote clients to take my product.
