MTN are a bunch of *******

I have a few issues with MTN – this has been ongoing since the 02/06/2020. Reference numbers: • *** • *** • *** Firstly, I recently upgraded my contact & chose a booster data bundle with it (2Gb for R169 per month – please see attached contract agreement/proof of contract). While I have been billed for & paying this, I have not received this additional data – only the standard data with the contract (1.5Gb anytime & 1.5Bg night time). I believe they are in breach of contract here. My latest invoice for the 12/07/2020 billing period is R1069 – R900 for the contact & R169 for booster bundle I am not receiving. Secondly, I have a problem with two of my previous invoices – May 2020 (the old contract) & June 2020 (the new contract after my upgrade). For May 2020, I have been billed R1337 although this contract was R1009 per month. They say the additional amount is self-service purchases). The only data I purchased during this time was a 1-day data bundle of R50 (for 1Gb) – the bill should have been R1059. For June, I was billed R1453.01 but they can’t tell me what the additional amounts are for. My previous contract ended on the 20/05/2020 so I was on month-to-month for the few days leading up to the new contract start date of the 02/06/2020. I am sure they have double-billed me here for handset costs despite the previous contract ending & I am sure they have billed me for the booster bundle I have not received. I have spoken to various people including Brenda, Neo & Nozi in the call centre. I then spoke to a manager (Rhine Pillay) who promised to get back to me but I’m still waiting. Then I was promised a supervisor (Tumelo Rhokotso) would call me back but I’m still waiting. Every time I phone them I’m on the phone for over 30 minutes & I simply don’t have the time to be calling them that much. To top it off, I am not receiving statements/invoices from them – the last one I received was probably in February 2020 – they blame this on a switch of systems which frankly isn’t my problem. I am a paying customer & they are required to show me what I am paying for especially if the amount is above my contract amount.

I have also taken my complaint to the Ombudsman with all the proof that MTN is in breach of our contract agreement. I want this contract cancelled!!!!!!
