MTN and One2one very disappointing service

I have a one2one which is backed up by MTN, I cancelled this contract on the 25 Nov @ 09:55 and was advised by Jeremy that it will be cancelled on the 27 Dec which will then allow me to port my number.

This was not done, I then called in again on the 27 Dec @ 10:10 spoke to Troy from One2one. He advised me that they (One2One) have cancelled the contract on their side but is waiting on MTN to release the number to prepaid which they have not done as yet. He further advised that I should NOT put large amount of data of airtime as and when the number moves over I will lose all data and airtime. I asked him to give me a time frame of how long this will take and he could not commit.

2 Jan 2020, I called in again today and spoke to a One2one consultant who told me the same thing, that he does not know when MTN will be releasing my number to prepaid but I should advoid putting in airtime or data as it will be lost when the number moves over to prepaid. I then requested to speak to the supervisor on duty by the name of Michael. He also refused to give me a time period as he doesn’t know when MTN will be releasing the number. He also warned me a against putting large amounts or airtime or data onto my phone as it will be lost.

This is not a good enough reason as I use my phone for business purposes. I now have to resort to putting on R5 airtime everyday and 100mb of data everyday. Apart from this being more expensive it has also impacted negatively with clients, when I am on a call with a client the call cuts off due to no airtime or when an important mail comes through I missed it because of no data. This has become quite embarrassing for me. Between One2one and MTN surely there must be a time frame as to when my number will be moved over to prepaid. I cannot wait indefinitely for One2one and MTN. One2one has confirmed that they have cancelled on thier side and is waiting for MTN, MTN is delaying the process and there is nothing more that they (One2one) can do.

Please can I get an urgent response from MTN as to when my number will be moved over to prepaid. MTN has provided the worst possible service ever.
