MTN and MBD

Good day

Please assist. I’m being harassed almost every-day by the company who calls themselves MBD acting on behalf of ‘MTN’.

I used to work for MTN and took a device to use with their staff sim card as part of the company’s benefits. The monthly instalments where taken off my salary as I was a staff member.

I then left the company last year in July for a new job, upon leaving I completed all necessary exit documents and well as a form to retain my MTN number as it was linked to my accounts. MTN never responded to my request and I eventually gave up the number.

MTN has my residential address, alternative contact number, personal email address, telephone number, alternative cellphone number and no one bothered to send any notification or contact me to say I have to pay x-amount of money or I owe them x-amount of money up until I received a call a year later from rude consultants demanding my ID number and claiming that they are calling on behalf of MTN with regards to my old staff account.

I was under the impression that MTN should have been deducted whatever is deemed liable on my exit package as I was a staff member.

I have never received any communication from MTN or a simple statement notifying me how much owe, after a year I'm getting calls from MBD.

I can't get through the legal department and as per billing, they can't view my details.

The number in question is ********** 903
