MTN **** AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I will start with the horrifying customer service. At some point I actually thought that I was being ****med. In November 2023 I bought a phone From MtN store, which came along with an mtn simcard. It was a dual simcard phone and I already had an mtn and telkom simcards which I currently use for business and the other for personal. So I had no use for the simcard that came with the phone, I just needed a second phone. Around February I started using the new mtn simcard after realizing that I could access the 100gig on it, so I planned to recharge that data and hot spot my other phone. Meaning that I never used that simcard to get on the internet, to call or receive calls. The first time I recharged, about R80 airtime or more was deducted. I call mtn and I was told it was subscription, how I do I have subscriptions on a simcard I don't use? The cancedlled them. The second time I recharge a huge amount was deducted again. I called again and it was more subscriptions on a simcard I don't even use. I don't even receive telemarketing calls, nothing. They canceled subscriptions again. Tonight I recharge with R160 and R110 was deducted. Mind you, the second time I called, I spoke to a rude agent who kept speaking over me and hung up in the end as I was saying 'goodbye'. I complained on the Facebook page and no response to my comment. Tonight I called 3 times to ask for my refund because at this point I have had enough. As I start explaining, my call was cut 2x. The 3rd try I assumed it was network issues so called 3rd time. The person was so aggressive. She said what she said about subscriptions, immediately said goodbye and hung up. I thought I was prannked. I have lost so much money from Mtn subscriptions on a simcard I only used to recharge data. On the phone I don't even use because it stopped working on the 2nd month of purchase, cheap hisense. I want my +-R400 I have lost and you can keep your simcard
