MTN after sales support non existent!

Barely had my new upgrade handset when it went into a boot loop failure (common problem amongst those handsets I found out!). Contacted MTN Customer Services where a random consultant told me to take it to my nearest MTN shop for repairs. Get to the MTN store and they refuse to help as I "did the upgrade online so MTN online need to sort out the problem". Phoned Customer Services again only to be told I need to speak to my original sales consultant (Hope Phasha) about the problem. No, they can't transfer me to her but they'll "leave messages for her to phone me". For the next 5 WEEKS I heard nothing from her but I kept phoning and "leaving messages". About a week ago, by stroke of LUCK I phoned and ended up speaking to Hope. Explained my whole story to her. She was to send an internal email about the query and then phone me back with a solution. TO THIS DAY I have not heard back from her and I'm STILL paying for a handset that is faulty!

And still nothing has been done. How long am I supposed to wait this time?? And don't dare say that you've tried to reach me on my cell but I didn't answer. I gave an alternative number for a reason!

And MTN just further confirms how pathetic their after sales service is. ONE MONTH later and my problem has still not been resolved. Promises of a courier collection (Ref ********** 10) that STILL hasn't happened. And also I was told that when (IF!) then handset gets collected, I need to wait a MINIMUM of 21 days for feedback. SERIOUSLY?! MTN you are making me pay for a handset that is not working. Not discount, no immediate replacement. That is dishonest and disgusting. Step up and adhere to your side of the contract! Needless to say I will dissuade ANYONE I talk to, to NEVER consider MTN as a mobile service provider.
