MTN & Afrihost Network Failure

My MTN 3g data connection (via ****le, airtime via Afrihost) has, barring the odd issue worked since September 2015.

Last Friday 15 July 2016 as of 08:00AM I was able to connect but not send or receive mail or use the internet.

Sequence of events:

Friday 15 July: 4 calls to Afrihost who tended to lean in favour of blaming MTN
2 calls to MTN 808 to try to get this resolved – Treated like a **** by a lethargic consultant
Several calls to both over the weekend
Several Tweets to MTN over the weekend…only vaguely responded to on Monday…..
Called an area technician at MTN who has assisted me in the past, he has changed areas and referred me to Gareth Wepenaar and his superior, Yasseen.
I was told that there is interference in the area probably due to a private individual erecting an ******* repeater……
Today is a week and one day later, Friday 22 July and still no resolution, after both parties have played the “blame game” and been vague beyond belief.
Strangely, my wife has her cellphone contract with MTN and is able to use the internet and data without a problem, yet my Afrihost data connection still does not work.
I work from home in the IT field and have been unable to work for a week….Oh, and on informing Yasseen about my wife’s phone data being in working order, he suggested I use my wife’s phone as a modem….ok, then what does my wife do as she needs her phone at work…..not the smartest suggestion!

My contact number is ********** (below number is the data number)
