MTN advertising phones they dont have!

I went to an MTN store wanting to get the Huawei P10 on Oct 2 and the agent there who was nice told me about the Huawei Mate 10 Pro deal- which was in the Oct Catalogue. By the way this was an exciting offer at 289 for a Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

On 3rd of Oct I got the message that the contract was approved and the agent called me to come collect it. After a few hours he then sent me a text message that the phone was out of stock and they had placed an order from the warehouse and it should be there by next week.

The following week I followed up and they still didnt have the phone. On the 15th I reached out to them again for an update and they now they trying to see if I can get to choose a different phone. I DONT WANT ANOTHER PHONE!! I WANT THE PHONE MTN SOLD ME AND APPROVED ME FOR.

-This phone was in the Oct catalogue and there is no way it can suddenly not be available for sell. Why did you put it in the Oct issue -I think MTN is realizing they made a mistake on this deal and they dont have any intention of fulfilling the deal * I just want the phone I was sold to and approved for. I've been an MTN contract for so many years having two contracts with you and paying monthly via debit order without fail and it is sad how you treat customers * It may not matter to you to loose one customer as you think you big but that is unprofessional and bad business practice. *********ness at its best * What also is bothering is the fact that we the customers has to constantly make follow ups seeing updates. * I've also read a couple reviews on hellopeter and facebook about this deal with other customers being given a run around about this phone. some how are being told we dont have it. HOW ABOUT US WHO HAVE ALREADY HAD THE DEAL APPROVED!

I hope someone can assist so I get the Huawei Mate 10 Pro which I have already been waiting on for 2 weeks now.

Hi, Thank you for the response, I will look forward to hearing your positive solution. I would also like to add that on the MTN Facebook Page there was a post on October 5 and you were telling customers about a competition to win the same phone you giving me a run around about. Hi MtN When can I expect to get feedback on this. Today I went to the Mtn store again to see if they can help. The guy I spoke with said they had 30 units in stock for this phone which ran out on October 7. My contract was approved on the 3rd so why then was i told it's out of stock. The answer I got was if the sales agent who assisted you doesn't hustle for his customer u don't get the phone. What he meant is that even when the phone was available it was being kept for other customer who were not yet approved or for themselves or friends. MTN should not treat their customers like this. Especially loyal customer's like me who have faithfully paid their bills every month without fail and have been with you for years.

Ofcourse you were not able to reach me because my phone is off which is why i wanted a new phone. I am sorry that your response is not that satisfactory- You dont even acknowledge the bad service I got. When I app**** for the phone they had it in stock but because your agents decided to hide and keep it for their friends i was disadvantaged., They acknowledged they had the phone on the 7th of October whereas on the 3rd they told me otherwise. ***** I know i can choose another phone but its not going to be for 289rands and I may have to wait again for a day or two to get the new phone approved, Then it maybe abother story of stock again.
