MTN - accounts pathetic!!!!!!!

I have been battling for over 7 months to get a statement of what I owe to MTN. I have not had an MTN phone line for over 4 years as I converted it to a data line. I was unable to pay the monthly subs hence was not receiving data. I paid what I could. I have not had a statement of my account for over a year. I have wasted so much money on trying to obtain a statement and balance from MTN, only to find out that my account is with lawyers. To date I still do not have a telephone number that I can dial and speak to someone who can give me any information. I have stopped paying the amount that I could afford to pay, because I didn't know where the money was being allocated. Today I spoke to a gentleman who managed to give me my outstanding balance and also banking details for payment. Thank you, he gave me the number to dial and the option that I was to make for future communications. When I said that the option was not available, he said that it was. On ending the call I dialed the number that he gave me and can you believe it, the option he said I was to select is NOT AVAILABLE.
