MTN Account handedover to MBD Attorneys -no notice

I cellphone contract was due to expire in July 2015. Due to the strikes I was unable to cancel my account, even after numerous emails, calls and visits to the local mtn stores. So thus my services were suspended in the process and my contract was still active. The lack of service during this time was due to mtn being on strike.<br> <br> I started the cancellation process mid may 2015 already as to give mtn enough notice to cancel my account. Eventually mid July I was able to get hold of someone in accounts in regards to the cancellation of my account. As recorded on mtn side the lady assisted me in cancelling my contract, moved me over to prepaid and stated that I owe about R590 still payable, which I can pay at an mtn store.<br> <br> Finally relieved, I went to the store, to be told that My Account/ID nr or even the number used can not be tracked on the system. Its completely gone no amount due or even any record of this. I emailed mtn and now suddenly according to them and an excel statement I owe R1900!?! No resolve was reached and in Jan 2016, I was apparently handed over to MBD attorneys with no legal section 129 Letter from mtn notifying me of this. <br> <br> Very disappointing service
