MTN a huge disgrace!

MTN contacted me in October to say that I can upgrade without any fees to be paid. Everything went well until December when they deducted R3 2055.00 on the 23rd and again R3 309.00 via debit order from my account. On enquiry I was told that the R3 2055.00 was for early upgrade fees. I would like to know how they can deduct more than my monthly fee from my account without permission and secondly, how I was told that I can upgrade and all of a sudden I have to pay for the upgrade. On my last enquiry a month before the upgrade, I was told that the upgrade fee is R2 000.00. Is MTN in financial difficulty because this is nothing more than ********!
