mtn a constant source of disappointment
After plenty of calls to MTN with many issues such as botched debot orders and incorrect data amounts loaded onto my acount to mention but a few..i always have to contact them.. they never get back to me EVER. The most recent problem was that i got an sms to say they will be increasing my contract phones monthly bill and for more info i must go to [URL Removed] i click on the link and it asks would i like to go to mtn play or mtn store.. no info to assist me. Then i phone their useless call centre and wait for 60min to get through to someone who cannot help. He puts me through to his manager who also doesnt have a clue whats going on. He says he cannot tell me what my new payments will be because the spreadsheet isnt clear. He then promised me like so many other mtn managers to phone me back but two weeks have passed and nothing... as usual.. reference number for that call is ***...i just read on news 24 that they are not performing well and that they are experiencing a loss in business.. its not surprising and i swear they will be posing my business as soon as my contracts end and i will advise all i meet not to use them.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
MTN S.A continuously assesses and reviews its pricing to ensure it's in line with the competitive landscape.
In the last 24 months we've aggressively reduced our tariffs and introduced attractive offerings to offer our customers more value for money.
However, the reduction in MTR coupled with increased costs of investing in our network driven by the weakening local currency has necessitated a review of our pricing to ensure we continue offering class leading products and services.
MTN thus wishes to communicate a 2015 pricing review. The revised pricing will be effective from the 13th of May 2015 and will be applicable to both existing and new contract subscribers.
MTN has endeavoured to keep the pricing adjustments at minimal across board.
Pricing on the new My MTNChoice Top Up R200, R350, R500, R750, R1000, R1200 and R1500 will remain unchanged.
Subscribers can visit www.mtn.co.za for the updated pricing, product info and T&Cs.
