MTN
I am a pensioner of 75. I received a call from a Monde telling me what a good customer I am and offering me an upgraded cell phone. I asked what the catch was and their reply was only R50. I received this phone on 15 March 2021 and when it was activated I realised that I had been conned and that it was NOT an upgrade but a new contract. On 18th March I was in hospital with eye surgery and could not return this phone until 26th March. I returned this on phone to the MTN store at the Glen in Johannesburg. After driving backwards and forwards to the store, I received an IRMS number which states that they have received my phone. On the 12th of April I received an invoice of R846.00. My normal payment is normally R368.00. I again returned to the store and asked for the Manager and was told he was not there. A lady helped me and she contacted Sanele on *** and he assured me that he was waiting for the cell phone from the courier company and as soon as he received it, he would pass credit and activate the cancellation. I tried to call Sanele on the 26th April to see what progress was being made and the person who answered the phone told me that I could not speak to Sanele. PLEASE COULD YOU ASSIST ME AS I CANNOT AFFORD THIS KIND OF MONEY. MY CELL NUMBER IS ***8. I AM NOW PAYING FOR A PHONE THAT I DONT EVEN HAVE. NO ONE SEEMS TO BE DOING THEIR JOB AND I AM NOW DESPERATE TO GET THIS SORTED. THANK YOU. MRS JUDITH E HATCH.
