Im writing to expose the ********s that are " MTN South Africa" On the 26th October 2023 there was the Huawei Mate 50 pro" advertised with the price of R 729.00 over 36 months as a 2 for 1 deal.It is important to note that this product was advertised with that price for a whole week. I subsequently app**** for the product and it was approved. "MTN South Africa" is a registered fsp and registered credit provider with the NCR which is not exempt from adhering/ abiding by the laws of the land put into place by the NCR, FSCA and Consumer Protection Act . To my surprise on the 2nd of November only one device was delivered. Upon numerous attempts to engage with this service provider and providing them with proof of the deal,I have been brushed off and ignored. According to the Consumer Protection Act: suppliers are not permitted to mislead consumers in respect of pricing,the nature,the properties advantages or uses of goods and services advertised,if such goods or services are not actually available for purchase. The Consumer Protection Act also requires "MTN South Africa" to be fair and honest in dealing.

MTN SA is contravening the FAIS ACT together with the principles of treating customers fairly. They are compelled to provide service in an honest and fair way by exercising due skill ,care and dilligence.

MTN SA has further shown complete disregard for the FAIS Act as no contract was forwarded to me nor the terms and conditions. Hence I have not been provided with adequate information of their claims that the advert was a "misprint" on the system."

The first act imposes FSP'S ensures that customers are provided with sufficient information in order to make informed decisions.

MTN SA can and must be held accountable for their blatant disrespect and disregard of the laws put in place to ensure that the marketplace is one that is fair and transparent. Failure to receive a response from MTN SA will result in me taking legal actipn against them.
