MUST READ In April 2018 I received a call from a call center on behalf of mtn called Mondo offering me a contract phone, a Huawei P8 lite for 161 ,I then paid accordingly. I then received an SMS from mtn stating * Your payment details have been updated as requested * You have exceed your credit limit of 2000 * Your application as been sent for review Upon these smses I was very concerned and contacted the mtn Cal center, the consultant advised me that there's nothing on the system that reflects this, please ignore the smses it was probably sent to you by mistake, which I did ( NEGLIGENCE ON MTN SIDE) I then later on received my statement in October stating I owe 3380.88 , I visited the mtn store in liberty mall on the 21/10/2018 on Sunday to enquire the above to my surprise I have contracts opened in total which 3 I am unaware of I was advised by the mtn store consultant that someone walked into lenisia store and opened the contracts and I was advised to go the police station and get an affidavit and certified I'd I went on Tuesday 23/10/2018 to hand in my documents and while processing my ***** case the consultant advised 3 more were opened on the 22/10/2018. The consultant processed and gave me a reference number. On the 25 I called the mtn call center to get an update on my matter only to find out that mtn as claimed as the client is responsible. I questioned what investigation was done did u go to the store and pull footage to see if I was at the store did you question the consultant as all 6 contracts were opened by one consultant (NEGLIGENCE ON MTN) all I got was mam I can not tell you what was done, because nothing was done . I went back to the store I liberty mall where I then spoke to the supervisor which gave me advise . Firstly even if someone walked in the store to open the mtn contracts they supposed to do a biometrics (using your finger) only the supervisor can by pass with an otp number, footage can be pulled on the time of contracts taken, my signature, the only document that mtn had was an ID so how did they even open up a contract in the first place. He advised if I dispute to go open up a case, I have opened up a case with mountain rise police station, but there has been no update I have called the police station. My name is now been red flagged and because of mtn I will now not be able to get credit, mtn regfuses to assist because they are look for someone to blame, I had a limit of opening contracts for 2000 but they exceeded it, the contracts total up to 6000+ (NEGLIGENCE ON MTN) . Can someone please assist and share my post. Mtn is not a service provider to be trusted. Thanks
Best regards,
