The Whole MTN team has been very ***********. I had a contract for a Samsung A33 taken out online. The phone was faulty and was sent in.

With a lot of effort the contract had to be reversed in order for me to receive a new phone. They could not reverse the contract and then decided to cancel the contract. The issue this month (October 2023) was that I was Charged a cancellation fee for a faulty phone that I was paying for for 3 months even though I had no use of it.

The cancellation fee to the tune of (R6 530.04) would then have been paid back to me due to their error.

This hasn't happened and an MTN employee just informed me that MTN decided to take their next months Premium before it was due and reduced my refund to around R5 700.00

This company has taken my money, money that I would normally use for groceries and the like, refused to pay it back at one point, and then decided to take even more before they pay me back.

In my mind this ****gish behavior on the behalf of this tech conglomerate is disgusting and should not be tolerated. At this point in time I am already less than 9 days away from my next paycheck and had to borrow money to sustain myself.

I would never recommend MTN to anyone and would advise anyone to stay away.
