Months of struggling and still no help!!

I've been struggling for months now to get my MTN account sorted out. Between the call center being closed and no one responding to emails it has been hell. Finally 3 weeks ago I managed to get an updated statement from MTN which I pay in full the day after receiving it. Then 2 weeks later I get another call from MTN telling me I apparently owe more money and must call 083 1 808, however when I call that number you are required to enter your MTN number, then when I do it tells me it doesn't exist and terminates the call. Then I get another call from lawyers saying I owe triple the original amount and my line has been cancelled!?!?! This is completely ridiculous! What the hell is going on at MTN!? It's a circus!
