Misled by Sales persons

When renewing my mtn contract in May 2017, I asked all pertinent questions to ensure I got the right package this time. The questions I asked include: 1. Will I be able to make international calls on this plan (minutes don't allow this)? Answer - Yes. 2. Will I be able to Top up my airtime and data? Answer - Yes 3 Will the Mymtn Flexi Choice 110 allow me to do the above two? Answer - Because you get airtime, YES

So I sign up and went merrily on my way. I had several minutes and some topup airtime accumulated on my previous plan which was not been used. I make international calls to my parents and siblings and as such was buy airtime over and above what I was paying for minutes. After my TopUp finished, I was supposed to have R330 airtime on my account, but could not make international calls anymore. I check my balance and it says R220 and over an hour in minutes. I call customer care CapeGate, no joy (no answer) for 3 days. I eventually go in and then was told recurring airtime expires after 2 months, was not told this by the sales person!! Anyways, no hassles, what about my been unable to make international calls? They cant help I will have to go to Tygervalley mall where I signed up for my new contract..:/!!! I go to Tygervalley mall talked to another sales lady who was helpful enough to let me know that she had encountered this same situation before and I would need to migrate my plan, but only after been on the current plan for 3 months. At the end of 3 months she made the request on my behalf. Then still problems, I went on the Mtn SA face book page and the following conversation transpired:

Me: As per your request, my name is Anthony Obilana and my number is ********** 292. I requested to have my plan migrated to a top-up 100 from mymtn Flexi choice 110, call was logged and ref # 1- ********** 8884. I received a message on the 5th of this month (Sept 2017) that it has been done, but when I go online, I see that I am still on my old plan. What gives and how can this be rectified? Thank you.

Mtn Response: Hi Anthony Thank you for your post kindly be advised that package when migrated successfully change will be effective on your next invoice, kindly forward us the message you received confirming your migration.

Me: Hello Numpumelelo, When I went to renew my contract I asked to confirm that I would be able to international calls and the response was in the affirmative. If you take a look at my account, I have minutes and current "Airtime rolled over because I barely use them, I only mostly make calls to my parents and brother in Nigeria and my other brother in the US. As such minutes and the current "airtime" are useless to me. I knew this before renewing and I was misled into thinking otherwise during the process. This error is on the agent that processed my documents and would like it rectified. I am not happy paying for a service I am not using based on the information of one your agents..? Mtn Response: NONE TILL DATE

Considering I went through the effort to get the right plan for me I would think it possible for Mtn make special concessions to migrate to a plan that suits my needs as opposed to a plan that does not work for me, otherwise what is the point of having MTN as a service provider???
