misleading advertising
MTN has a new brochure for the month of October advertising the Sony M5, I am eligible for a upgrade on my contract and went in store for this particular phone, only to be told that they do not have the phone and even worse they don't know when it will be arriving. I asked the sales assistant why they are advertising a phone they essentially don't have , his reply was to lure customers into the store and still get a sale by convincing them to take something that is available. this is unacceptable practice from such a multi million rand company, not only did I waste my time driving to the store(canal walk) but also felt cheated. up until today the phone is still not available and the advert remains. I was asked to be contacted on any progress, still haven't received any correspondence , MTN has no regard for customer service or even their loyal customers. I am disgusted and upset by my experience. i hope MTN is aware that under the consumer act they cannot advertise a product they don't have!!
