Mis-sold home router in non-coverage area
This has been the worst experience ever. Never say yes to an agent trying to sell you anything.
I was sold a home router for an area that MTN knows very well has no coverage, and I only found this out from another MTN agent. This shows that they are only pushing sales without considering the client's needs or satisfaction.
I am now stuck with a router that does not work, money is debited every month, and when I try to cancel I am told I still need to pay approximately R2,200.
I always thought MTN was a trusted brand, but charging a customer so much for a product that never had coverage in their area is a disgrace.
For anyone considering a contract with MTN, please be cautious before they sell you something they know will not work and then charge you cancellation fees.
