Migration to prepaid [#***3]

Hi MTN Retentions and Billing department,

I was due for an upgrade but decided to cancel and migrate to prepaid.

29 August 2016 – receive an email stating that migration will take place in 2 to 24 hours

31 August 2016 – was told that there was a technical issue with migrating the number, it will take another 2 to 24 hours

02 September 2016 – Minutes, SMS’s and data bundles are loaded AFTER I’ve cancelled my contract and AFTER I was told that nothing will be loaded because I cancelled.

02 September 2016 – was told an emergency migration will be requested, and the migration will take 3 hours (it has been more than 5 hours while I’m typing this).

Spoke to Lesego.Bokale (Customer Services Supervisor). He said I should give him until close of business today to resolve this matter.

What I want is the following:

1. Number migrated to prepaid immediately;

2. No liability for using any minutes, bundles, sms's etc that was provision after cancelling my contract on Monday 29 August 2016.

3. No bill for the minutes, bundles, sms's etc that was provisioned after cancelling my contract on Monday 29 August 2016

This matter will be taken to ICASA if I am invoiced for the Minutes, SMS’s and data bundles loaded this morning, 2nd Sepetember 2016.

To make matters worse, I can’t even load airtime or data because when the number is migrated (hopefully this century), I’ll lose whatever balance I have left.

Well done MTN retentions department, you’ve managed to retain a customer under duress.

Hi Ayanda,
The issue still hasn't been resolved. Can someone please tell me what's going on?
No reply to my 5 emails sent to the Retentions Department.
Your call centre agents keeps escalating and nothing gets done.
I've now been told by Thembeka (ref ********** 12) to send an email to Dimakatso Rachele. I'll see if she bothers to reply since i received no reply from Lesego Bokale.
I would advise anyone reading this to avoid signing up for a contract with MTN. When you try to cancel, you get ignored and billed again.
