Migrating to prepaid after contract expiry

I have been trying to migrate my expired contract to prepaid to no avail. MTN customer care is non-existant you hold for more than 30 minutes and they hang up. I went to MTN Sandton City the day my contract expired to authorize the migration, 02 June....the lady there wouldn't guarantee that it will be actioned as some stuff is on strike. I have just been billed and since the contract has expired I am going to cancel that debit order as it is not my fault that they are failing to migrate my account.

I am incurring no extra cost for a service I didn't ask for.
Hello pjt4lyf,

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused and for the breakdown in service experienced.

We can confirm that our call centre operation has been affected by the industrial action we are facing at the moment.

We have now managed to get your number migrated over to prepaid and we've generated a credit of R255.00 for the additional invoice generated.

Once gain we do apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Regards
Tim
