Migrating from an expired contract to prepaid

My MTN contract expired on the 25/11/2015. I phoned the call centre on Thursday 26/11/2015 and spoke to Lebatla ***, to change over to being prepaid. Was told it would take 24 - 36 hours. Its now Tuesday 1st December 2015 (120 hours later) and the contract has still not been changed over to prepaid. Phoned the call centre again today 1/12/2015. I have been informed that I have to now wait 30 days and that I was misinformed by the Lebatla. WHY do I now have to wait another MONTH? My contract has expired. To make matters worse I was sent a message from MTN asking to rate the service WHICH WOULD COST ME TO REPLY!!!! This makes me not want to have any further dealings with MTN.
