Mickey mouse service at MTN upgrades

If there an option for -100% rating, i would have rated Mtn that. Their upgrade department has failed me and that has costed MTN a customer in myself and all of my family members and friends. I already have 3 people porting to another network due to this poor uncalled for incompetence.

I, in person called MTN direct to upgrade my contract which was on a month to month basis but that just went south from that point on. Such incompetence I have never seen in my life. I had a good sales talk with a lady by the name of Nomthandazo Nkuna, I waited, I waited and waited until I forgot that I am waiting. A couple of days later I decided to call MTN, to my amazement the app was pending for a ***** status as I was previously a victim of *****. My first frustration is, had I not called i suppose MTN would have called me after a year to tell me that I need a clearance letter for the app to proceed. I understood because i thought that its a document that I was supposed to produce.

From there on I asked of the turn-around-time but then again of course that was not going to be honoured and I should have known but I waited. Nothing from Mtn. I called and I got hang up. I thought maybe i am pushy so I waited again. Two days later I called them again only to find out that the product I was purchasing is out of stock, also no one cared to advise me of that, I called was told Nomthandazo Nkuna would call me but nothing as she only has the access to my application. Obviously she never called. At this point i was in disbelief of MTN’s existence because if the service is like that, business should not exist.

I now realised that I can’t no longer be a part of this mickey mouse service, I called to twice to cancel (the 2nd one was an escalation with the manager included in the email to kindly ask for Nomthandazo Nkuna to please give me a call i want to cancel). It’s so funny that I have the power to tolerate of this to point.

On Wednesday I will escalate this to twitter. I suppose a larger voice is heard quicker.
