Make me understand !

Hi ,

My MTN sim recently lost service and i was trying to get a sim swam until i was told that because i last made a call in 2017 and i use it for sms 's and other communication on that sim that not valid . I was told to obtain an affidavit to say that my number is my number !! WHATT?
