Losing customers faster than your bandwidth rate!

I have had a contract phone for 4 years and decided to downgrade it to a prepaid as I don't use the airtime every month which is a waste of money. I requested for my number to be downgraded and was told it takes 2 to 48 hours.... My next bill date for the contract is on the 5th May 2015 so I sent the notification today (30th April 2015) and was told they won't be able to do it!!!! Last time I checked, 48 hours = 2 days. I have given 6 days notice which is 144 hours notice....three times the requested notice and THEY still can't do it!!! MTN has seriously dropped the ball with shockingly slow bandwidth, calls that are dropped in the middle of a conversation, specials in their brochures which take 3 weeks to deliver to their own store! AND...not to mention the price hikes! MTN are you trying to get rid of your customers?!
