Listed me for a contract that i tried to cancel for 6 months

In 2016 I had two contracts with MTN, one was a cell phone contract and the other was a data contract. The contracts were both on a month to month basis as the term had expired and because of MTN’s bad service I decided to cancel both my contracts. I requested MTN to cancel both contracts but MTN only cancelled one contract which was my cell phone. I was still being debited for the data contract and was told to contact their 809 service to cancel. I tried to cancel the data contract for 3 months with phone calls and emails and have attached emails as proof, I was being debited for something that I had stopped using. I then cancelled the debit order because I was getting no help from MTN. I was never contacted by MTN to pay this account and they then handed me to VVM attorneys.
