In 2019 I had an account with MTN which was subsequently closed. I have been away in China for 2 years. Now I've returned and attempting to buy a car and look for work only to find that I have been backlisted. I've been blacklisted for R367 for an account I don't even have anymore. Last week Thursday an email was sent asking for a response. Friday an email from the complaints department was received with an intention to investigate. I haven't received any feedback. Today I popped off another email, only to get two out of office responses from the complaints department. I guess the investigation was an arduous investigation, that they needed leave. In the meantime I am unsuccessful in applying for work or buying a car because of the bad credit profile that has been created over a period of 2 years. The CEO of MTN is also MIA. The consultant who initially handled the account back in 2019 has also declined to respond. They don't have a worry in the world because it's not their life that this hanging in the balance when a person is blacklisted and refused work or the chances off finding employment.
