**** to me to get me - promised credit in exchange for faulty phone!!!!

My handset that I bought on contract in September was part of a faulty and retracted product and needed to be replaced with a different type of phone (in October). The phone was obviously still under warranty, however, MTN did not want to replace my handset as the warranty stipulates, but rather wanted me to sign a new contract, thereby losing the four month downpayment on the phone. I told them that this would not fly as I would be losing a lot of money in the process. The consultant then over the phone tried to swindle me by saying he ould back date my contract so that it starts in October, but when I asked him what date my 24month contract would then end he said January indicating that he was lying. He then said he could cut me a deal whereby I am allowed to upgrade two months before the end of my contract which I explained to him is a perk to every MTN customer. Eventually, he worked out the amount of money that I had spent on the phone thus far and agreed to credit me with that amount. It was just over R400, and then I would sign a new contract void of admin and service fees. I agreed to that as it seems fair. MTN does not lose money and I do not lose money. Now, however, I get the invoice and not only has he not credited me the amount. I am also charged the service fees!!!!!This has been a 5 month long fight with your terrible company, of which none of it is my fault. The handset was a SONY m5 that the original sales people in Paarl knew was faulty (MTN in Kuilsriver showed me a mail proving that it was told to them) and sold to me anyway.

Please help me, I am so fed up and tired of fighting this stupid fight with you by now. Please just start being honest for once in your companys history.
