***** and Cheats, but I Have Receipts

I was sold a WiFi contract through Rewardsco, outsourced by MTN, and was told it would be free, and yet I was billed R300-00. An investigation was done and ruled in my favor because I was **** to by an *********** salesperson. They said they would cancel it, but it took almost 2 months of constant phone calls and trips into the branch. This started in December of 2022, and it was only cancelled on the 8th of March. They now expect me to pay R3000-00 for a cancellation of a contract I didn't even want, even after I paid 2 months of contract for the router while they were scrambling to cancel the contract, and ensured me the money would be credited back. I email their customer care, to get told I have to pay the cancelation fee, and their incompetancy is boundless. I have taken this case to the Ombud.
