Left hanging on iPhone recall...

My Apple iPhone 6plus 128g started a year ago with camera problems. Logged on to apple website where the phones serial number confirmed it to be a factory fault from Apple. Apple SA state that only the service provider can deal with the recall. Three different stores of MTN refused to take it in, stating they were not aware of any problem. The Boksburg branch did eventually take it in, only to return it a week later with comment that they cannot help us. A case number is logged with Apple int'l confirming this should have been dealt with, but no joy from MTN even after showing this to them. AThe case has now had to be escalated and is with Mr. Padwell Thomas at Gauteng provincial government from the National Consumer commission. Why do you have to let it come to this MTN?

We apologize for any inconvenience incurred.
Thank you for your time online and the confirmation that Apple SA sorted this out for you.
If this was not sorted MTN head office would have picked up the device and replace this for you. Our apology for the stores not assisting you when you needed for this to be done.
Due to the stores not intervene with the problem we have passed a goodwill credit for one month subscription fee for line ***. The credit will be for R905.70, this credit will reflect on the account on Monday.
Kind Regards,
