Is MTN really as useless as this?

Been trying to cancel my old mans (now deceased since October) contract since Nov 9th 2022. Called the mtn 136 number numerous times to no avail just rambling ons about nothing sending you down a worm hole of push this number push this number. Emailed customer care AND retentions. Still no response (weeks) even when they say they will contact you within 5 working days (their words ... on their frigging website). Even got a reference number from one of the branches when we first started this adventure of frustration. And they still continue to bill a deceased persons account. This must end. Its always the same with these sort of companies, quick to bill you and take your money, but when you want service or to end a service you enter a black hole .... shame on MTN!
