Insurance Ripp off ****

After 21 months of my contract my phone was Lost after submitting the claim it A took them almost a month to respond. this after never being able to contact them but eventually finding a form on the internet (Well hidden) Saying that claim was approved BUT

Important notice: Following the signing of an upgrade (extending your existing subscriber agreement contract to another 24 months), please complete Changes of Insurance Details Form which is to be emailed to [Email Removed] or fax to ***.

This is a complete farce Im actually able to take an upgrade on my headset according to my contract. but if i want to claim i must sign another 24 months of contract?. so actually repaying the headset over another 2 years. and at a lesser payout than the same contract would allow for me to upgrade my headset. Why do we pay monthly insurance premiums if you are going to make us pay in full for that which you are insuring us for?

Im fairly sure that the insurance ombudsman would not agree with this conduct. And are people aware of the **** which MTN calls Insurance? Or surely the CPA has something in place for this. I do not wish to upgrade my contract for that due to me
