Insurance claim rejection

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to lodge a complaint regarding the rejection of my insurance claim with Santam. On the day of the incident, I was attending a funeral. When I returned to my motor vehicle after the funeral, I realised that my cellular phone was no longer in my possession. I only discovered that the phone was missing when I got back to my car.

I submitted a claim to Santam; however, my claim was rejected on the basis that the phone was allegedly left unattended on the car seat and that there was no evidence of forcible or violent entry into the vehicle. I would like to clarify that I am not certain when or how the phone went missing. I only became aware that it was missing after returning to my vehicle. I therefore respectfully request that this matter be reviewed, as I believe the circumstances of the loss may not have been fully considered.
