Insufficient funds, even though there is aitime

Everytime i load airtime with MTN whenever i make a call it keeps saying i have insufficient funds to make a call. This started in December and when i phone MTN they tell me that they are resetting my number and that i should turn my phone off and remove the sim card. i have done that a fiew times, however the problem presists.
