Institutional Xenophobia

<p>I app**** to have a line transferred from my wife's name to mine. I hold a spousal and work permit, and not a general work permit. </p> <p>The MTN credit vetting department said that my permit is invalid. So my finances and credit score is fine. They want a general work permit.</p> <p>If Home Affairs has endorsed me to work in my passport, and I am working, why is MTN being so difficult to deal with.</p> <p>I spoke to the manager at Cavendish, the head office in Cape Town, and was told to call the MTN Credit vetting department. I was on hold for over and no one is answering.</p> <p>This is discrminatory on an institutional level. Home Affairs has different kinds of work permits. MTN should know this when dealing with foreign nationals who have valid permit and pay taxes in South Africa.</p>
