INDEBTED TO YOU!
i was notified by mtn that my account is in arrears with the amount of R2351.77 of which the previous month's debit order never went through yet the funds for the normal debit order was available. All this time i had no problems with mtn regarding my account this problem only emerged a month before i was due for an upgrade on one of my numbers. I saw on my account that they never deducted the payment for February, yet the funds was available. i then later called mtn to ask if they did deduct and was CONFIRMED that they payment went through. i am really disgust with this i was never in arreas or late with any payments and now i must go and make arrangements to pay the funds they claim they never took?! today i learnt that my outgoin call facility has been suspended and all because of a debit order that didnt go through and for which i feel like i was not at wrong!

if this is how you get people into debt, i want nothing to do with you no more!
Thank you for your post.

According to our records, the debit for February of R1 136.99 was submitted on the 27th February and returned by your bank on the 3rd March. We then submitted a debit order for the amount of R2 340.37 on the 31st March for the February and March invoices, however this was also returned by your bank. There were SMS's sent advising of the non payment and since no payment was received, your outgoing calls were barred.
There was a cash payment made on the 8th April and the barring were removed. Kindly note that there is still an amount of R1 203.38 in 30 days arrears. Please ensure that this payment is made soonest to avoid your lines being barred again. Also note, that since the debit orders were returned, your payment type was changed to cash and therefore your payments are due 21 days from date of invoice.
We would like to assure you that we are actively working to improve our service levels.
Regards
Veronica
