incredibly *********** MTN-SA service and personnel

I have been struggling to get my MTN number operational for three day in a row after a waiting period of 7 days... I been in ad out of MTN stores purchased new SIM cards as instructed by all the various departments just to get my number back and operational... Due to an operational blunder on the side of MTN-SA

1. I was told that my number would within four days, automatically revert to a prepaid when the contract was cancelled... This never happened

2. Then I started the gigantic battle to get my number back and operational... starting with the pre-paid dept. they could not help me as this was a previous contract number... I then was referred to the contracts dept... BLA BLA BLA

3. The contracts dept. referred me back to the prepaid dept. as this was no longer a contract phone... explaining to them that the migration did not happen was basically impossible as the *********** callcentre operator is totally clueless and somewhat deaf. as he did not even take the time to listen to what I was saying...

4. Try to speak to a supervisor and the callcentre operator, refuses to put you through to one... eventually I got through to a supervisor which referred me to the reactivation dept.they referred me back to contracts as they don't do reactivations... funny name for a dept if they don't do reactivations...

5. I was once again referred to the retention dept to activate my number. There they could not help as it was a contract phone...

6. All this trouble and many frustrating hours on the phone trying to get someone to push a few computer buttons to get my phone number un cancelled and operational and yet with no luck and still numberless

7. I even made the suggestion to them... make the number active and I promise to port it to a different service provider also with no luck

8. What else am I to do to get my number active... as it is extremely difficult to run a business with no phone to reach clients, suppliers and for them to reach me...

PLEASE HELP WHAT AM I TO DO NEXT

Thank you for your post.

We acknowledge the receipt of your complaint.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience experienced.

As per our telephone conversation number swap was performed on the number *** to *** meaning the number 081 doesn't exist on the network.

Ref: ********** 8... Hi Mike, Thank you for your quick response and telephone call its a pity that our call was dropped.

As you indicated the 081 number does not exist on the network... Which means that I can get my number back... all you have to do is swap my old 081 number onto a new SIM. I can even supply you with a RICA'ed SIM card number, onto which you can put the number and we can go from there...

This number is important to me as I have this number on my business cards, Website, branded vehicle, Registered as preferred Vendor with various insurance companies as well as on various social media sites and APP's that ensures my income.

Will be glad to hear from you again

PLEAS HELP

Tony
