Incorrectly handed over and updates at bureaus
Ive been having the same problem since July 2015 when Mtn handed me over for account that wasn't mine. After I took responsibility to prove my case they wrote off account. Now I am struggling to get them to update the information with the credit bureaus. Legal says they emailed the bureaus 18 August to update my credit profile but this hasn't been done. I am applying for a home loan and the banks are still picking it up. I have also on numerous occasions requested a formal letter from mtn to acknowledge the matter resolved and no liability or default on my side. But nothing is forth coming. I get the same responses on email or on this site all useless. They gave the credit ombudsman the same response that the matter is resolved however the updates at the bureaus clearly has not been done and no one is taking responsibility. Customer service sends me to legal. Legal says its been done and we go around and around for 3 months which is ridiculous.
