Incorrect debit order amount
MTN has debited my bank account with R9701.37 instead of a debit of about R850.00, MTN account number A***. I called MTN on Wednesday to query this deduction, and I was told that I have used data out of my bundle. This is strange because my contract is a top-up meaning that when I run out of bundle I buy data or airtime to top-up. The call centre agent from MTN also confirmed that my contract is a top-up and promised to escalate the query so that it is resolved within 24hrs, Call ***. To date not response from MTN and no refund is made in my bank account.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that you have experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
The number 071****374 is on My MTNChoice 100mins. Your usage limit was changed from R1.00 to R8842.00 on 2016-02-21 at 15:56:56 and it was only returned to R200.00 on 2016-04-25 at 18:20:03 after you were billed for the extra usage.
Your package allows you to set up your monthly spending limit for out of bundle spend and also has the ability to top-up with airtime whilst on a post-paid contract. You can change the usage limit to R0.00 by dialling *141*1*7852#ok to prevent extra charges/usage.
We have logged a billing query to validate the charges, reference number: ***.
